Case Study – USB data board
Situation
A client needed a replacement for a bespoke parallel interface from a PC to a piece of scientific equipment. The bespoke parallel interface was becoming unmanageable – the drivers only worked under Windows 95, and the hardware with only with about half the PCI driver chips.
Action
After analysis Cametrics proposed to replace the parallel interface with a USB based solution. This was developed as a drop in replacement, requiring no changes to the equipment and minimal changes to the existing PC application.
